Pick up & Drop off
Students may NOT be dropped off prior to 7:45 in the morning. If you are late picking up your child, and they are not registered for kids club, a per minute fee will be charged. Please be courteous to your fellow parents and do not drop off on Superior Street. We are reserving this area for Early Five’s as they have to sign in each morning. Dropping off students on the south side of Superior is dangerous. Cars from CSUN and other neighboring areas travel very fast along this street. Please refrain from dropping off here.
Cell Phones
Students are not permitted to have/use cell phones on campus. Safety procedures prohibit cell phone use while in carline.
Entering Campus on foot or by bike If you would like to walk with your child to their classroom, you must drop off students in carline, then park in the parking lot.
If you are parking on Superior, your child must be walked onto campus and through the parish center gate. Students riding bikes to school must walk bikes onto campus through the Parish Center walking gate or the gate between Stroup Hall and the Church.
Carline
You may only turn left into the school off of Kinzie, you may not enter from Reseda and turn right.
Please do not exit your car while in carline. School personnel will assist if necessary.
Children must always exit and enter the passenger side of the car.
Do not talk to teachers while they are in carline. No matter how short, small or immediate your conversation may be. The teachers’ sole responsibility during carline is assuring the safety of all children, and any disctractionswill compromise the safety of all children.
Conferences, Homework and Absences
Call the office each day that a student will be out and include a note upon their return.
Send a note in advance for anticipated absences or when leaving school early.
Homework will not be given in advance for illness or extended absences. Students will be given adequate time to complete assignments upon their return.
Call the office for appointments with teachers.
Notes fro m parents for incomplete homework will be accepted only in the case of a family emergency or illness.
Homework will not be excused for late night activities, family outings or sports practices.
